Culture day trip

First Picture is a picture of the train station i took into london. I used the
diagonal rule to make the picture look more interesting and kept the horizon line a 3rd
of the way up the screen

After this i took a picture of the train tracks as i found it interesting and was a
great opportunity to use the diagonal line rule as well as symmetry horizontal instead
of the typical vertical simatry.

This photograph was taken when i got off the train out at london. It is not the best example of
using rules i have learned. This is because the people in this photo eye level are not in the right place.
But this is not necessary as the main focus on this picture is the station.

I look a picture of the view of a building though the top of as tree.
i found this intreating as it uses the balancing objects rule. As the main focus is
the building the the background but the tree leafs and branches add to the photo to make it
look more intreating.

I took this picture of a cathedral and released that i needed
to change the exposure of the camera to allow more
light to be captured so i can see the building more clear.
When i adjusted the exposure on my camera and took
the picture again it clearly showed a massive difference
which improved the photo as you see more detail on the
building and it brighter.

This picture has a main focus of the statue because i centre it and
it stands out from any other feature.

While walking across one of the bridges i took a picture of a Skyscraper.
I find this picture really interesting as it reaches into the clouds as well as
it keeping to the rule of thirds rule as you can see that the horizon line in a 3rd
of the way up as it focuses on the sky more.

This picture of the river shows the rule of 3rd's once again as
the moment that the ground meets the water is about a 3rd up the screen.
it also has the element of diagonal lines were the water meets the land at the
bottom of the screen.

This picture is on The Globe. It a good building to take a landscape
picture of due to it being short be wide.

Whist in the take i took quite a few pictures and i used the diagonal rule
to make the line of photos look less plane.

This picture of a painting of war could of been better as the lighting
is not the best to capture the image nicely, yet it still shows quite nice
and could give an gloomy effect to the picture.

This picture uses the diagonal rule as painting is slightly
tilted. This make the picture more interesting to look at.

In one of the rooms there was a this flag, It looks interesting as it
show it worn out and the stitching show in the picture adds depth to it.

From a balcony of the Tate i took a picture of the view.
This is a perfect time to make a landscape picture using the rule of
3rd's as you can see the sky cuts from the building a 3rd of the way down
the picture.

This picture of a sculpture is interesting as the colours used
are reflecting the background i have chosen to take the sculpture
against.

This Blocked sculpture appealed to me as a heated atmosphere,
so i changed my white balance to the sun setting to give
it more of a hot looking atmosphere.

This picture was taken in a room were only the artwork were
lights and they were also the only source of light. I really like this
picture as it captures the Light well, thank to fiddling around with the exposure
and also the diagonal rule makes it more interesting.
This picture is similar to the one above as it is the same piece of
artwork. I took it from another angel to show the lights more. This one
show more of a diagonal line patten than the over one.

There was a smaller version of the other light sculpture i took a picture
of and it doesn't seem to appeal as nicely although it gives of a more simplistic
effect.

This is a strange picture of a sculpture that i found in the gallery.
It seems to be a good picture due to it keeping it focus on the on object even though
you can see in the background the picture corner slightly blurry.

After leaving the Tate we headed off for lunch were we went
past a free street art skate park. I found this bear really interesting.
I used the camera in a vertical position as it taking a picture of a talk figure.

This is another example of diagonal line rule as well as it using
balancing objects rule in some retrospect. I think it uses this rule
due to it you eyes get drawn to the background as well as the part
close up.

Once again i took a picture using the diagonal line rule as you
see the afro cuts of diagonally. This photograph could of
been improved as it didn't used the rule of 3rd's well.
I took this picture over the lake at Big Ben. Even though
it is not in the centre of the picture you eye get drawn to it
because it stands out in the picture the most.

On the way down a path there was a man making huge bubbles.  I
found them a really interesting topic to take a picture of as you can see a rainbow
effect in the bubbles shape. This picture captured the bubble well as it is cleanly in
the photograph.

I played around with the exposure and took another picture of a
bubble. This one shows the bubble much more colourful as the rainbow effect
is seen more clearly.

This picture of a street performer demonstrates the rule of 3rd's quite nicely
as his eye level is a 3rd of the way down the screen. It also show a good example
that you should put the camera portrait when taking a picture of somebody.

This picture shows the a good uses in landscape view. as i captured
most of the building in the picture as it is wide and not very tall
in comparison.

At the end of the day i took a train back home. I used the diagonal rule
again to make the picture of a boring train have more depth.
